angeR

Anger, as an emotion, becomes problematic only when it manifests as aggressive behaviour. Righteous anger serves as an indicator that we have been devalued, undermined, violated, or unsupported. Acknowledging and honouring our anger involves expressing it in a healthy and assertive manner, while simultaneously valuing both our own needs and the needs of others. Some individuals perceive anger as so threatening that they instinctively release it through aggressive actions, be it physical or verbal.

At Person-Centered Psychology & Allied Health, our team is dedicated to assisting you in building resilience to anger and utilizing it as a tool for effective and assertive communication, preventing it from triggering unhelpful aggression.
